Filipino-Chinese Symposium |
The Philippine Bible Society spearheads another first in the field of Biblical studies in the country -- the first Filipino-Chinese Bible Symposium with the theme “Transformation through Bible Translation.”
Undertaken in partnership with the Biblical Seminary of the Philippines (BSOP) and the Hong Kong Bible Society, the symposium highlights the relevance of God’s Word for the genuine transformation of our nation. It will also be an opportunity to introduce translations of the Scriptures for use by the Filipino-Chinese Christians.
Renowned speakers include Dr. Joseph Hong, United Bible Societies Translation Consultant for the Revised Chinese Union Version, Dr. Mary Leung, General Secretary of the Hong Kong Bible Society, Dr. Joseph Shao, BSOP President, Dr. Grace Shangkuan Koo, UP Associate Professor, and Dr. Anicia del Corro, UBS Translation Consultant for Asia-Pacific.
